Wiki Polandball Raras (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈwiki ˈpolambol ˈraɾas][1]), also known simply as Raras, is a Polandball wiki in Spanish that compiles articles about companies, political parties, soccer teams, and organizations in general. It is an extended version of Companyball Wiki in Spanish. It is closely linked to Polandball Hispana.
Content
The wiki allows balls about companies, radio and television channels, political parties, soccer teams, brands of all kinds, well-known web pages, relevant applications, governmental institutions, wikis, non-governmental organizations and chemical elements. The latter was added in 2024.
History
Miki and David Era (2015-2019)
Wiki Polandball Raras was founded on September 2, 2015 by Miki2833, a user of Polandball Hispana. One of the reasons for the creation of the wiki was that Miki2833 had his company pages deleted in Polandball Hispana for not being “countries” (an example was Bimboball).
In the beginning, the Polandball Raras logo was a blue ball with the shield of the National Autonomous University of Mexico in yellow. Later, the green color would become the characteristic color of the wiki thanks to a consensus among users, and Rball would officially become the logo and mascot of the wiki, the current logo being chosen on December 20, 2015. During this period of time the wiki got 100 articles. It was not a very active or relevant wiki compared to Polandball Hispana, but it was edited by users like David2076, Tomytomytomy or Ella Jacobi. On May 22, 2016, Polandball Raras created its own Faceblock account, currently closed.
Due to Miki's absence, David2076 became full admin of Polandball Raras, and following his old legacy, new users like Sr. Libia, Nochesco-biohazar, Ramdoneldíos 213, DIMR4444, SuperMario360, etc... also arrived. Eventually Miki would be removed from the position of administrator after a popular vote made by David2017.
During this time, the wiki had a lot of freedom to make pages of almost any kind, such as food, fictional countries or Discord servers. These articles would be deleted in 2021, giving the wiki a bit more seriousness and strictness. Polandball Raras was considered a colony of Polandball Hispana, although today the term subsidiary is preferred.
FelipeRocha Era (2019-2021)
At the beginning of 2019, a Brazilian user named FelipeRocha678 arrived in Polandball Raras, who started making many edits until he surpassed the biggest editors, so Taxcymus (wiki bureaucrat), gave the administrator position to Felipe in Polandball Raras for being the only active user.
At the end of 2019 Felipe created the “Ball of the Month” award, where users could vote which one they wanted to be the ball of the month. Meanwhile, some contributors to Polandball Raras appeared around that time, such as Miramarball, Dudemanball, G ball Watterson, Non-block87, RickyMartinXDXDXDXD, Manuelomil novecientos noventa y nueve, LAYgamer84, Dark Sonic 14 real (although this one was already before Felipe), among others.
Competition with Companhiaball
Editions and activity in Polandball Raras would start to grow in 2020, with then just over 300 articles. The wiki would begin to have rivalry with Companhiaball, a wiki with very similar content but in Portuguese, which also recently reached 300 articles. It should be noted that Felipe was also a contributor to Companhiaball. Felipe was afraid that Companhiaball would overtake them in pages. In July 20 2020, Felipe promoted a competition that consisted in seeing which of the two wikis would reach 1000 pages in the shortest time possible, this conflict was known as the Race for 1,000 or the Cold War of the Companyballs.
Not only did this event lead Raras (and Companhiaball) into an unnecessary spiral of junk pages (short or meaningless pages), but it turned both wikis into a dumping ground, relevant enough for blocked users to go to Raras to stay within the Polandball Hispana radius. Both wikis accused each other of stealing pages from the other during the competition.
This absurd competition ended on August 13 of the same year when Companhiaball came first. The competition caused some cracks between the relations between Raras and Companhiaball even after the conflict ended that lasted for the rest of the year. To make matters worse, many Raras users continued to create junk pages even after the event to reach 1000 pages, which was eventually achieved.
Ron's Vandalism
During the Raras competition, a Bolivian boy named Ron came to the site, who became known for his poor quality images, where he drew countryballs in notebooks, and some childish behaviors. When Manuelomil novecientos noventa y nueve asked his age, Ron confessed to being only 7 years old, and was blocked for it. Interestingly this happened the day after the end of the competition with Companhiaball. Nevertheless, Ron would start coming back with multiple accounts, and little by little he would start vandalizing Raras and creating his own wikis.
Despite at first it was not given much relevance, Ron continued to be a nuisance in Raras with vandalism. Although for the metropolis of Polandball Hispana this case was irrelevant, for some users of Raras, including anonymous users like Hispanic Empire it was not, so much so that they founded the Ejército de Usuarios Anónimos Anti-Ron (EUAAR) or Anti-Ron Anonymous Users Army in English, an alliance between several users with the aim of fighting against Ron and try to improve Raras. This event was known as the war against Ron. Ron did not cease his conflicts until the beginning of 2021.
From August 21 to September 21, 2020, some users had discussions in the comments of the pages because they could not agree on what shape some articles should be. With the new spotlight on Ron's multi-accounts, users decided to stop arguing to confront him.
On September 21, Ron appeared with his multi-account Tursey, announcing that he wanted to “adopt and merge the wiki” (by merge perhaps he meant to mix it with Ron's personal wiki), which caused confusion. The next day, Ron showed up again and held a vote to become admin of Raras. He was criticized for it and no one, except him and another multiaccount of his, voted for it. Between October 7 and 10, a new user known as UN CRACK LISTO was mistaken for Ron by some users and criticized for it. In the end, UN CRACK LISTO confessed to being 11 years old and not Ron, and was blocked. On October 13 and 14, Ron vandalized Companyballs Wiki, a wiki created by user Edsonyir from Polandball Hispana with a content similar to Companyball and Raras, being accused of plagiarism by some Raras users.
From November 11 to 23 there was a diplomatic conflict between EUAAR and Companhiaball, since the former accused the Brazilian wiki of having stolen its pages, so EUAAR started to do the same. Aquiles, administrator of Companhiaball, complained about this in a Polandball Raras discussion, but users like Daniel el mexicano xd, Miramarball and Yopal were against Aquiles' message. On the other hand, Felipe adopted a neutral stance. Although they eventually made peace, tensions between the two sides continued into December.
On December 10 Ron vandalizes the Visabrick article and again draws the attention of some users. EUAAR responded by vandalizing for six days Las Cosas viven Wiki, which was Ron's personal wiki, this stopped because Ron was inactive.
In January 2021, Ron's vandalisms returned to Raras causing disruption. On January 8, 2021, Dudemanball tried to adopt Las Cosas viven Wiki, but did not end up succeeding because he was blocked by Ron there. On January 13, Companhiaball joined the war against Ron. During this period new users arrived to Raras such as Daniel el mexicano xd and Maurox35, controversial users for having been banned from Polandball Hispana for being underage.
National Legislation
Some users of Polandball Hispana considered Raras to be in a decline due to the number of junk pages, hidden underages and other factors such as the attention given to Ron. They also felt that Felipe was not doing what was necessary to solve the wiki's problems. On January 19, Cacanalga69, a Sibersk multi-account, created on Raras the article “Torta de Ben 10ball”, a trash article. He was criticized for that article but he said it was a sarcastic parody of the junk articles on Raras. This caused a war of edits and a tense atmosphere among users.
In the process, some users of Polandball Hispana like Elvix, Krakart, Chevy1958, Laynel, IvanMCG, and retired vandals like Ubuntu (Sibersk) or Troll created the Partido Conservador de Polandball Raras (PCPR) or Polandball Raras Conservative Party in English. From January 26 to 30, PCPR members had discussions on user walls of Raras against Maurox and Hispanic (anonymous user) after Daniel was blocked from Raras after it was proven that he was underage.
Finally, Taxcymus' intervention on January 29 forced Felipe and the disgruntled people to conform to Raras' real policies, which were socially dubbed the Legislación Nacional (National Legislation), a series of rules that prohibited the use of minerals, atoms, animals, plants and natural elements as a ball. This whole event was called “Battle of Raras”. Junk pages and pages about wars (including the page about the war against Ron) were also deleted from Raras. Due to the deletion of pages, the wiki lost its 1,000-page position. Users Dudeman and Trotuman complained about the massive deletion of pages. The conservative party claimed victory, even though their pressure was never effective, as the orders for intervention came more from Elosobolar and Taxcymus than the interests of the party. On January 30 Maurox was blocked from Raras and anonymous users like Hispanic were expelled.
Last months
After these events, Raras did not have the same relevance in editions again (except for a new user named Lepano, who would make quality editions) until its recreation in Miraheze. Felipe continued as administrator of Raras although he lost the relevance that the wiki had gained since mid-2020.
August 13, 2021 Polandball Raras was closed by Fandom. Felipe continued to remember Polandball Raras and remained in Polandball Hispana, supporting the move that was being made to Miraheze. With the move of Polandball Hispana to Miraheze and the loss of Polandball Raras, Felipe refrained from continuing to edit on the new platform and also resigned as administrator of the Discord server of Polandball Hispana, but remained somewhat active there.
Hispanic Era (2021-)
Staying at Miraheze
Hispanic Empire ended up registering with Miraheze and started contributing to Polandball Hispana. Hispanic founded Polandball Raras in Miraheze on September 10, 2021, being helped by Peruanoball, Taxcymus and Skyrum536. Hispanic was willing to offer Felipe as administrator, but Felipe was no longer editing. Hispanic tried to make Raras more enjoyable by adding flairs for templates and creating a template for political parties. The laws remained similar to that of the “Legislación Nacional”, but now, pages about vandalism groups such as Secta Skyoe were also banned by Taxcymus.
To avoid further conflict and distance between Polandball Hispana and Polandball Raras, Hispanic and Taxcymus agreed to a union act to ensure that both communities would be sisters and held together. On September 21, 2021, Hispanic appointed Taxcymus as bureaucrat on Raras.
Even so, the EUAAR again became relevant thanks to the fact that even after the move to Miraheze, Ron was still active in Fandom, prompting Hispanic to continue pursuing him with the help of some minor allies between December 2021 and January 2022. This generated some displeasure by Taxcymus and the small Discord community of Polandball Hispana who saw Ron's issue as a distraction from issues of direct relevance to Wiki Polandball Hispana. Eventually, the EUAAR became the “Wiki Polandball Raras Army”, a modest defense team for Raras. Likewise, the pretensions of pursuing Ron also ceased by January 2022, when his wikis were finally deleted and he was lost track of.
The diplomacy of Polandball Hispana also resumed a leading role after years of inactivity. First, more formal contact was made with the English Wiki Polandball when Wiki Polandball Hispana together with Wiki Polandball Raras, Teamballs Wiki, Countryhumans Wiki ES and Natiospherae Wiki decided to formally join the Ballmedia project, a project organized by Agent Isai, SchizoACC and Denatidum.
On March 2, 2022, Polandball Raras was dedicated to stopping vandalism on a humorous wiki called Risapedia, so its administrator made Hispanic admin there, turning Risapedia into a colony of Polandball Raras. It would continue this way with the abandonment of the original Risapedia's administrator and finally with the closing of Risapedia on February 28, 2024.
On December 9, 2022, Hispanic named DudemanTheDude admin of Polandball Raras.
In February 2023, with the recreation of Entityballs, this would become a colony of Raras.
On June 1, 2023 the “Wiki Polandball Raras Army” became a faction of the Special Defense Command of Polandball Hispana.
Independence
On January 18, 2024, Wiki Polandball Raras was moved from Miraheze to its new Polandball Hispana platform, also DudemanTheDude lost his position as administrator, probably due to his inactivity. On February 8, 2024, Renatinho was promoted to admin by Taxcymus. In May 2024, the user Nagalandaf started to make balls of chemical elements (such as Hidrógenoball or Fósforoball), which the wiki accepted and legalized.
On July 26-27, 2024, Polandball Raras was heavily vandalized by a underage ex-user, affecting most of its pages, which included pornographic images. Fortunately, they could be reversed. Days later, the same thing happened to Polandball Hispana. These same acts also continued to occur sporadically in August, but were more controlled by users. Thanks to his commitment to reversing vandalism, Sami10 was promoted to Raras administrator on August 31 at Hispanic's request. On September 8, Nagalandaf was also promoted to admin.

- ↑ Being a foreign word there is no consensus on its pronunciation in Spanish, but it seems that most Spanish speakers do not pronounce the D in polandball when speaking Spanish, which would leave [ˈpolambol] , [ˈpolambal] and [ˈpolambaʎ] , since the /nb/ combination in Spanish is pronounced [mb]. Thus, most Spanish speakers say [ˈpolambol] or [ˈpolambal] when speaking Spanish.
