Wiki Companhiaball is a wiki of Polandball in Portuguese that collects articles from companies, political parties, YouTube channels, soccer teams and wikis. It is the Portuguese version of
Companyball and is inspired by it, but allows more content than the English version.
History[edit source]
Era ZackIV[edit source]
On January 8, 2020, the Wiki Companhiaball was created by user ZackIV. The wiki was created, due to the pages of the companies (Companyballs) that were created by Kaneki Official in the Portuguese Polandball Wiki, as Faceblock. v Companhiaball was created in the inspiration of
Companyball. ZackIV started organizing the wiki initially, putting rules and so on. The first page was Rede Globoball, created by Kaneki Oficial.
On the same day of the wiki's creation (January 8), the user Aquiles Paraízo had just arrived in the community, and quickly started contributing, catching up with ZackIV (The leader and biggest user of the wiki), until he overtook him. But ZackIV won the race with 500 points. 1 day later, Aquiles managed to overtake ZackIV again, this time with 580 points. On the same day, Aquiles became administrator and was declared the winner of the competition.
Era Aquiles Paraízo[edit source]
The wiki started with new users like FelipeRocha678, BlueMickey634, 5 MINUTOS DE IDEIAS INCRÍVEIS and Matheus Sampaio Correa (who would be blocked for being under 13 years old). The wiki won a mascot in a vote between which of four possible Cballs would be the official mascot of the wiki, and number 2 (the
purple colored one) became the winner, and is its official mascot to this day.
In February, it quickly reached 100 articles (with the WWEball page) and over 5,000 edits. It became the third largest companyball wiki in Fandom. In May it reached 200 articles and also Companhiaball was featured on the
Companyball "about" page.
Competition with Raras[edit source]
Companhiaball started to grow a lot and was coming close to surpassing
Polandball Raras, the
Spanish version of the wiki, in pages. Both wikis had just over 300 pages at the time.
FelipeRocha678,
Polandball Raras' administrator, was afraid that
Companhiaball would overtake them in pages. In July 20 2020,
Felipe declared war on
Companhiaball and promoted a competition that consisted in seeing which of the two wikis would reach 1000 pages in the shortest time possible, this conflict was known as the Race for 1,000 or the Cold War of the Companyballs. Not only did this event lead
Polandball Raras and
Companhiaball into an unnecessary spiral of junk pages (short or meaningless pages), but it turned both wikis into a dumping ground. Both wikis accused each other of stealing pages from the other during the competition.
This absurd competition ended on August 13 of the same year when Companhiaball came first. The competition caused some cracks between the relations between
Polandball Raras and
Companhiaball even after the conflict ended that lasted for the rest of the year.
After competition[edit source]
After the conflict, Companhiaball started to focus on junk pages, trying to reduce several of them by adding infoboxes and other things. The administrator Gustavo Bitenkas added new rules and tips in this regard.
From November 11 to 23 there was a diplomatic conflict between EUAAR and
Companhiaball, since the former accused the Brazilian wiki of having stolen its pages, so
EUAAR started to do the same. Aquiles, administrator of
Companhiaball, complained about this in a
Polandball Raras discussion, but users like Daniel el mexicano xd, Miramarball and Yopal were against Aquiles' message. On the other hand,
Felipe adopted a neutral stance. Although they eventually made peace, tensions between the two sides continued into December.
On January 10, 2021, Companhiaball entered "the war against Ron". Between February and August 2021,
Companhiaball managed to create more than 100 pages, reaching 1400 pages. In July,
Companhiaball started to get very close to
Companyball in terms of relationships. Users like Lepano186 started to edit a lot on
Companhiaball. By the end of July, 3 pages were being created every day, which increased the number of pages considerably.
After the news from Fandom that the wikis related to
Polandball were going to close, Gustavo Bitenkas and Aquiles Paraízo ended up making a plan to migrate
Companhiaball to
Miraheze and save the wiki. With that, on August 12, Aquiles (now known as Tankis2000) created the wiki on
Miraheze. On August 16, the
Fandom version migrated to the
Miraheze wiki.
Miraheze Era[edit source]
On August 19, 2021, with the files saved in Miraheze, Wiki Companhiaball was finalized and ready for editing. On August 22, Gustavo Bitenkas instructed all users to contribute to the wiki once completed. Former EUAAR member
Hispanic Empire even edited the wiki after almost 9 months without editing. On September 9, 2021,
Wiki Companhiaball, along with Portuguese Wiki Polandball, ended up being closed by
Fandom, being the end of
Wiki Companhiaball in
Fandom (lasting 1 year, 8 months and 1 day; 610 days).
Around August, HispanicJulio proposed an alliance between
Companhiaball and
Polandball Raras, where links from both sites would be linked. This was finally done in December.
